Grant Awarded to Bakersfield Pregnancy Center

The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center was honored to receive the 2019 Community Grants Program funding, by Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial Hospital. This funding support the 2019 Expansion Program of the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center, which includes additional resourses for our Earn While You Learn programs (parenting classes in both English and Spanish), additonal service locations for our ICU Mobile Unit and funding to training staff and begin of the process to offer STI testing to our clients free of charge, with a target date of June 2019.

"This community grants paves the way for the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center to add much needed services to our existing and new clients in the coming year. We are most thankful to the Board of Directors of Dignity Health for their support of this empowering ministry and service to Kern County." A special award presentation was held at the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center on Thursday, December 13th at 12 noon. Honored guests from Dignity Health, BPC staff, volunteers and Board members were present for the check presentation.
